Online Course Exchange
A state-wide collaborative online course exchange for all campuses of University of Tennessee Online.
The University is the state’s oldest and largest public higher education institution and is comprised of campuses at Chattanooga, Knoxville, Martin and Southern; the Health Science Center at Memphis; the Space Institute at Tullahoma; and the statewide Institute of Agriculture and Institute for Public Service.
How This Model Works for University of Tennessee Online
This Software as a service model has allowed the University of Tennessee to license the course exchange management software (Taawun) from The Higher Learning Partners of Regis University to not only create an inter-campus online course exchange, but also to track enrollments, create an even distribution of funds between the campuses, leverage multiple campus resources, and expand further institutional collaborations.
The OCICU Online Course Exchange offers a continually growing catalog of online undergraduate and graduate courses at like-minded colleges and universities across a variety of disciplines. Most courses are 3 credit hours and offered in an 8-week asynchronous format unless otherwise noted.
